FAQ
1. Who is Chef De Elohim?
Chef De Elohim was started to provide relief for many people who find it challenging to tackle dinner each night. We personally have seen how hard it is for someone who has special dietary needs to find a good meal at restaurants while exploring different flavors and cultures. In addition, I’ve seen many busy families deal with trying to fit dinner into their crazy schedules. I want to help out and fill that void. You deserve to eat well and healthy!
2. Why should I use Chef De Elohim?
Chef De Elohim offers affordable meal preparation for everyone. The chef will prepare your meal of choice in your own kitchen. We can also make multiple meals to store, which saves you both time and money.
Chef De Elohim can prepare a wide array of meals for diets of all types. Setting up a delicious and healthy meal is just a phone call or a few clicks away. Whether you have special dietary needs or just want to remove the burden of making dinner, we are here to make your life healthier and easier.
3. Can I set up a long-term traditional personal chef relationship?
Absolutely! We customize the relationship to meet your needs. We can discuss your meal preferences and select meals for you however often you want. We are proud to say we offer this traditional personal chef approach, along with our easy-to-use online format. This way you can choose what works best for your lifestyle. For our traditional personal chef service and any gift certificates, we do have a 2 meal minimum for each visit. Feel free to contact us to discuss a potential arrangement!
4. Who is the chef?
Chef Brianna (Brie) is a highly talented trained chef who has 10+ years of meal preparation experience. Allowing herself to be guided by God through his gift dedicating her life to cooking spreading the word of God through great food. I’m happy to make your meal exactly how you want to ensure you are pleased, for God doesn't discriminate anyone and neither will I.
5. Do I need to be home during the meal preparation?
We ask that you are present for your first service to allow for entrance into your home. For future visits, we can have it ready when you want, whether you are home or not. If you choose not to be present during preparation, we can discuss and arrange for a secure method of gaining entrance into your home.
6. Who provides the equipment?
While the chef is cooking in your kitchen, the chef will provide their own equipment (e.g., pots and pans). We ask that you have a working stove and oven. Also, if you would like us to prepare a meal that involves a grill, you will need to provide it. If you want us to make extra meals, you’ll need storage containers. We recommend reusable containers, such as Pyrex®. We are happy to purchase them for you if you wish, and we can add the cost to your order. If you have any questions about your kitchen or storage containers, please contact us and ask!
7. What are the prices?
As you can see, each meal comes with a side or dessert prepared for free. Also, you pay the same preparation fee for one serving as you do for eight. So if you order 8 servings at $65, that is just over $8 per serving!
You have the choice of providing your own ingredients or letting us get them for you, from the grocery market of your choice. If we obtain the ingredients for you, we will apply a shopping cost to your order, along with a $25 shopping fee.
8. What is included in the price? What about tipping?
Included in the cost is the meal preparation, packing and storing if necessary, and cleanup. If you want us to grab the ingredients for you, the $25 shopping fee covers obtaining and transporting the items. You may tip if you would like to, but it is not necessary.
9. Do I have to buy full containers of spices, herbs, and oils for one meal?
We typically purchase spices for your pantry and keep an inventory for future visits. However, we understand that buying full containers of spices, herbs, and oils can be expensive for just one meal. We want to treat you fairly, so if you choose for us to obtain the meal ingredients, we can provide them at a cost of .50 cents for each spice, herb, and oil if you wish.
10. What if I want a suggested menu item, but want to change it a bit?
We want to provide you the meal you want! If you choose to use our traditional service, meals can be customized with a phone call or email. For online orders, if you want to add or remove an ingredient in a meal, we provide a spot to enter requests and revisions in your cart. No charge.
11. If I select an organic meal, will every ingredient be organic?
We do our best to ensure everything is 100% organic. However, it is possible that a specific ingredient may not be available in organic. For spices, herbs, and oils, the chef may use non-organic items.
12. How do payments work?
Payments are processed in a simple and secure manner through the Chef De Elohim Chef register. You can also pay with Vinemo, Paypal, Google pay, and square app.
13. What is the cancellation policy?
Once an order is placed, if the event is canceled within 72 hours of the service, the entire payment will be forfeited.
We understand that clients may want our traditional service for an initial trial visit. After the first trial visit, we understand if a client does not want to proceed going forward. However, if a client chooses to continue with our traditional service, we require a minimum of four visits. If a client chooses to cancel traditional personal chef service prior to two visits, we require a cancellation fee of $60. Please note we consider a pause in service cancellation if you do not receive service for more than 4 weeks unless a future service date is specified.
